A B2B custom jewelry project should move through explicit approval stages. The purpose is not to add unnecessary steps; it is to resolve design, construction, material, finish and commercial questions before they become expensive production problems.

1. Define the project brief

The brief should identify the jewelry category, reference direction, intended market, preferred materials, stone route, expected quantity, packaging needs and target timing. A clear brief gives both design and sourcing teams a shared starting point.

2. Translate direction into CAD

CAD is where visual intent becomes measurable geometry. Review overall dimensions, stone placement, prong or bezel construction, wall thickness, assembly points and any size variations. Approval should focus on what will actually be built.

3. Use 3D printing to reduce uncertainty

A resin or wax model can reveal proportion, volume and assembly issues that are difficult to judge on screen. Not every project needs the same prototype route, so the method should match the design and approval risk.

4. Move the approved design into metal

Casting or fabrication should follow the confirmed metal specification. This stage also introduces practical questions about cleanup, joining, component fit and surface preparation.

5. Review the physical sample

The sample is an evidence point. Review size, weight, comfort, stone scale, setting security, plating or finish appearance, closure function and presentation. Record requested revisions clearly before production planning.

6. Set stones and finish the jewelry

Stone setting, polishing, texture and plating determine both appearance and wear expectations. The approved standard should be understandable to production and inspection teams.

7. Perform order-level quality control

Quality control should reference the actual project specification. Depending on the product, checks may cover dimensions, appearance, stone security, finish, function, quantity and packaging.

8. Prepare private-label packaging and delivery

Confirm packaging components, product cards, labeling, destination requirements and shipment documentation before release. Global delivery timing should be discussed against the actual order rather than treated as a universal promise.
